Caroline Walker

I write words that make pictures.

    Write what you know, right?

As a former elementary reading teacher, I love to listen to the fantastically unfiltered musings of children and weave them into stories not already found on my children's bookshelves. My memoir writing is inspired by experiences as mundane as riding shotgun in my mother's gold highlander to reconciling the undying love between a mother and daughter while facing the inevitability of loss.

When I am not writing, I am mothering my two wild kids, playing piano, baking treats or sampling my husband's phenomenal cooking. I also dearly love to laugh with my mom tribe over a bottle of wine. Nothing is more important to me than the people with whom I do life.
